I nstead of its original objective of cost m inim iz ation, Com puters Unlim ited has indicated the following goals, arranged in order of their im portance:

1.  A &M has been one of its better long-term  custom ers, so Com puters Unlim ited wants to m eet all of  A &M' s dem ands.

2.  Because of recent problem s with a trucking union, it wants to ship at least 80 units from  the W ashington warehouse to Central University .

3.  T o m aintain the best possible relations with all its custom ers, Com puters Unlim ited would like to m eet no less than 80% of each custom er' s

4.  I t would like to keep total transportation costs to no m ore than 1 10% of the $22,470 total cost achieved with the optim al allocation, using the

transportation solution m ethod.

5.  Because of dissatisfaction with the trucking firm  it uses for the  A tlanta-to-State deliveries, it would like to m inim iz e the num ber of units shipped

over this route.
